Privacy notice

Short version: we use what you send us to reply to you. We don't sell it, we don't send newsletters, and this website uses no tracking or advertising cookies.
Who we are
Loudwren is a web studio run by Luis Paiva, based in East Anglia, UK. Luis is responsible for the personal data described here. To contact us about your data, email loudwrenstudio@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
When you send the contact form we receive your name, your business name, your email address and phone number if you give them, your message, and any guide quote you attached. We use these only to reply to your enquiry and, if you want to go ahead, to prepare a proposal.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our business.
Who handles it
- ntfy.sh delivers form enquiries to our phones as notifications. Messages are held on its servers for up to 12 hours, and may pass through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on the way.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and, like any web host, processes your IP address to serve the pages. It also passes form enquiries on to ntfy.sh.
- cdnjs, unpkg and jsDelivr serve the code libraries behind the animations. Your browser requests these files directly, so those providers see your IP address.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. We don't share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact if no work follows. If you become a client, we keep project and accounting records for as long as the law requires.
Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Cloudflare, our host, sets one security cookie, cf_clearance, which helps protect the site from bots. It can last up to a year and we don't use it to track you.
After you send the form, your browser stores one item, lw_sent, which holds the time you sent it and stops the form being sent twice in a row. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us. You can remove it by clearing your site data.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to how we use it. Contact us and we'll respond within one month.
You can also complain to a regulator: the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK, or the CNPD in Portugal.
